Walt Whitley, OD, MBA
Dr. Whitley is the Director of Optometric Services at Virginia Eye Consultants and serves several important roles for the practice. He is the liaison between VEC and optometrist physicians in the community, which means he is the primary point of contact for all patients who are referred for the advanced specialty services offered at the center.
As a VEC optometrist, he provides diagnosis and treatment for a number of conditions, including dry eye, ocular allergies, ocular infections, glaucoma and diabetes-related vision problems, as well as conducting evaluations for cataract surgery, refractive surgery and retinal disorders.
After receiving his doctor of optometry from Pacific University in Oregon, Dr. Whitley completed an optometric residency in ocular disease, refractive and ocular surgery at Eye Care Associates of Nevada and then spent several years there as a medical optometrist specializing in ocular disease and surgical/refractive eye care. Dr. Whitley also served as an adjunct assistant clinical professor at Pacific University College of Optometry and was the past secretary/treasurer of the Nevada Optometric Association.
Mile Brujic, OD
Dr. Brujic is a partner of Premier Vision Group, a successful four location optometric practice in Northwest Ohio. He practices full scope optometry with an emphasis on ocular disease management of the anterior segment and contact lenses. He is active at all levels of organized optometry. Dr. Brujic has published over 100 articles and has lectured extensively on contemporary topics in eye care.

Sunset Bahamian BBQ Dinner Cruise – Sit back and relax on this exclusive two hour cruise. As you set sail from the Atlantis Marina, you will take a relaxing leisurely cruise through Paradise Island Harbor with breathtaking views of Atlantis and its beautiful surroundings. Fish Fry Dine Around – The “Fish Fry” is an area of several restaurants that serve local fare, such as conch fritters and Bahamian Mac n Cheese. We will make reservations for those who sign up for this dine-around and assist with taxi transportation (user pay).
Exuma Island Adventure – Guests experience the most beautiful, untouched private islands in The Bahamas, traveling through picturesque, crystal clear water, on 45-foot speedboats, from Paradise Island to a private island within the Exumas (approx. 1.5 hours). Dolphins, sea turtles and manta rays are often seen along the way. This incredible excursion includes a little of everything offering the opportunity to feed sharks, shell search on sandbars, feed native iguanas at an island sanctuary and enjoy excellent snorkeling on the spectacular coral reef formations. After lunch, we spend the afternoon on the beautiful private beach. Swim, explore, or just enjoy the tranquility. This incredible full day excursion includes the round-trip speedboat, savory Bahamian snacks and lunch buffet on the private island, unlimited beverages, and snorkeling equipment. Sail & Snorkel – Enjoy a beautiful afternoon sail and snorkel adventure aboard a state of the art sailing catamaran.
